About the NPS OSSC
The Officer Students’ Spouses’ Club of the Naval
Postgraduate School is a social and service organization promoting
friendships and communities. The OSSC sponsors social events for Military
families, as well as fundraising events. Officer spouses from the Naval
Postgraduate School (NPS), Defense Language Institute (DLI) and the The OSSC General Membership Meetings are usually held at 7:00pm on the first Monday of each month except for holidays when the meeting is held on the following Monday. Interested spouses are always welcome to attend any function to “check us out” or attend our New Spouses Welcome meeting. Some of the activities that the OSSC sponsors include Family Pasta Dinners, quarterly Bargain Fairs, an International Tea, and more. As a non-profit organization, some of the funds we raise throughout the year are donated to local and national organizations and to student scholarships. The OSSC provides it members with numerous volunteer opportunities. There are Executive Board positions, standing committee positions, and special events / charitable fundraising committees.
