Armed Forces Team Building (ACS)

AFTB is a family training and readiness program that provides participants with and understanding of the Armed Forces culture, and the skills and resources they need to become knowledgeable members of the military community. Family preparedness and self-reliance are important to readiness because deployed service members are better able to focus on the tactical mission when they have confidence their families can manage successfully in their absence. Family members can learn the benefits and resources the military offers, how to network, and become part of the larger military family. NEW, NEW NEW! CORE BALL & PILATES
New to Monterey Bay Athletic Club, CORE BALL & PILATES class. The main focus will be on strength, balance and flexibility. Mat core exercises coupled with the dynamic ball strength and core ability sessions will teach participants about breath control, alignment and body awareness. Each session is 60min and will be limited to 12 participants. Everyone is invited to try beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. All classes will address each level of ability; focus is placed on individual strength and growth. Monday & Wednesday, 4:30pm-5:30pm starting May 1st, 2006. Your First Class is FREE! TAKE A CLASS AT MONTEREY PENINSULA COLLEGE (MPC)
Did you know that you are eligible to take classes at the Monterey Penisula College? The school is only a few blocks away from NPS and military dependents are allowed to register for in-state tuition for up to a year (only $26 per credit hour). Some of the best classes are only 1/2 credit. The application process is easy. The classes include everything from art, to business and computer classes, to physical fitness classes. ARMY COMMUNITY SERVICE
ACS has multiple programs available to all military families regardless of branch of military. ACS is located in the Stillwell Community Center on General Jim Moore Road in the Ord Military Community. Employment Readiness Program (ACS) - Employment Quest, Classes usually held each Tuesday. A fun and informative workshop on job search strategies and networking tips, plus assessing and developing your career path. Enroll early for free childcare. Call for info or reservations: 242-7510/7660
NAVY FLEET AND FAMILY SUPPORT CENTER
The Navy Fleet and Family Support Center has a variety of classes available. For information on these classes or other services offered please call 656-3060. You may also visit the FFSC website for specific class details and updates. Registration is required for all classes.
SALLY GRIFFIN SENIOR CENTER
